Abstract: The project is entitled Towyn to Kinmel Bay Cycle LinkThe work will include, but not limited to:-a) General site clearance and preparationb) Traffic Managementc) Earthworksd) Kerbinge) Pavingf) Road markings / signageg) DrainageThe purpose of the proposed Towyn to Kinmel Bay Cycle Link Scheme is to provide cyclists with a safe off-carriageway cycle route, complying with Active Travel Wales guidance, which will link the end of an existing route to Towyn Centre through Towyn Park.The proposed works comprise the widening of an existing footway/cycleway along A548 Towyn Road to provide a 4m wide shared route. Existing park paths will be planed out and reconstructed as 3m wide paths. These works will include the associated relocation of street furniture and new signage. Roundabouts have been proposed to differentiate the movements of cyclists and pedestrians at the junctions on the park paths.A new 3m wide footway/cycleway facility running along the eastern boundary of the park will be constructed to connect Towyn Park to Gors Road, via Kinmel Way.
