Abstract: What is required / ‘The Requirements-We want to establish a regular, systematic study (‘the Survey-) to collect data and provide broad, ongoing intelligence about the registered and unregistered workforce in social care and social work in Wales.We anticipate the Survey will include structured data gathered through a large-scale survey, to be supplemented by qualitative data collection to provide richer information and insights into specific themes and/or topics. The survey and supplementary data collection will allow us to identify trends and patterns and inform policy and operational decisions for Social Care Wales, Welsh Government and sponsored bodies, local authorities and other stakeholders in social care and social work.We want Social Care Wales to become a recognised and invaluable source of insight and intelligence on the workforce in social work and social care in Wales, to inform policy and operational decisions at national, regional and local levels.
