Coventry City Council (CCC) is re-commissioning its block contract for the provision of Supported Accommodation and Floating Support services for young people aged 16-24, including Children in Care (CiC), Care Leavers, and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). This service is mandated under several key legislative frameworks: • Children Act 1989 (as amended) • Children Act 2004 • Children and Social Work Act 2017 • Southwark Judgement (2009) • Homelessness Reduction Act 2018 As of October 2023, Supported Accommodation is regulated by Ofsted. Providers must: • Be registered or in the process of registering with Ofsted. • Comply with The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and any future amendments.
