Procurement plan for The Lighting Main work stream scope is driven by the business-s need to run the new train stock (24TS) which has a different platform train interface to the current PL fleet. A new OPO system will be introduced, installing new cameras in the station platforms that interface with the new train. The Lighting Main is the electrical system, comprising of cables and switchgear that run between substations and Transformer Rooms along the network. The cables pass through stations, where station equipment draws electricity from the Lighting Main system. This was previously unidentified scope. The system is now overloaded on 60% of the network and whilst it is supporting the current system, albeit non-compliantly, modelling shows it will not support the new OPO system. The 4 new Transformer Rooms will support the increased load demand and provide capacity for growth, which is not currently possible due to the insufficient power delivery points on the current low voltage substatio
