Brief description:
Sandwell Council is committed to enhancing the quality and safety of its housing stock, which includes approximately 28,000 properties. After significant organizational changes, we are on an exciting journey to modernize and improve our services for residents.

We seek a passionate and decisive Head of Building Safety and Compliance on an Interim basis to ensure our properties are safe and compliant. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing compliance in critical areas such as fire safety, structural integrity, electrical and gas installations, asbestos management, and more.
As a key leader, you will manage compliance for 52 high-rise buildings, ensuring full adherence to the Building Safety Act and related regulations. You will also provide support to the Assistant Director and manage a team of five professionals.
