Abstract: The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) currently has a contract for the: Provision of Carbohydrate Deficient Transferrin (CDT) Testing & Confirmation Services.This contract aides the DVLA in making driving licensing decisions. CDT sample screening provides further information of possible alcohol misuse/ dependency through the analysis of blood samples.DVLA is exploring future services and viable options. DVLA encourages fair and transparent procurement and omissions from any part of the Department's market engagement exercise shall not be taken into account in any subsequent procurement.
