- Future Academies, a family of schools across London and Hertfordshire, is dedicated to improving the life chances and broadening the horizons of young people. Sponsored and guided by our founding charity, Future, our mission is simple: to realise our motto of libertas per cultum (freedom through education). We want our young people to lead lives full of choice and opportunity where, whatever path they take in life, it is a path they have chosen. Our first academy, Pimlico Academy, opened in 2008. We are now a family of ten schools working together towards this aim, supported by an Ofsted "Outstanding" SCITT which trains more than fifty teachers each year.
