Description:
The purpose of the event is for the County Council to gauge interest and get an understanding of what could be included in a specification for a contract focussing on climate engagement for young people. You should attend this meeting if you would like to feed in to how young people are engaged on climate action and if you have an interest in any future tenders that Gloucestershire County Council will release on this topic. We are interested in ideas for 11-25 year olds (this could include a subsection of this age range- it does not need to cover the whole age range) but would also consider ideas for younger age groups. A budget is being approved and will be available over the financial years 2026-27 & 2027-28. If awarded the contract will run over 2 years with an option to extend by 1 year, giving a total contract length of 3 years, including the extension option. The appointed supplier/suppliers could do the following, with SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant & timed) targets wherever feasible: • Engage young people across Gloucestershire with climate action (focussing on in person events and activities). • Deliver behavioural change programmes for young people in various settings with measurable outcomes.
