Description:
Shropshire Council is dedicated to providing high-quality residential respite care for adults with learning disabilities, supporting families in their caregiving roles. The current contract for residential respite care services is set to expire in September 2025. The home, located in Shropshire, is registered with the Care Quality Commission to accommodate up to four residents. It primarily offers planned respite care but is also equipped to handle emergency respite requests at short notice. All places within the home are contracted by Shropshire Council. The property is leased by Shropshire Council, and the successful tenderer will be required to enter into a license agreement or equivalent to cover the occupation of the home. The form of the license agreement is included with the tender documents. Shropshire Council invites tenders from providers for the care and support element of this service, including some hotel costs as outlined in the Finance Model schedule. Shropshire Council will act as the Commissioning Authority for the tender process. If the successful tenderer is not already registered with the Care Quality Commission, registration will be required following the award of the contract. The contract will be let for one year, with an option to extend for up to a further two years.
