Description:
The Borough Council of Calderdale (the "Council") is commissioning a 16+ Supported Accommodation Service (the "Service) for Children Looked After (CLA) and Young People Leaving Care aged 16 and 17 years old on admission (2 Lots). The Service will provide high quality support to enable Young People to be as prepared as possible for adulthood, living independently, for financial responsibility, and to enable them to secure education, training, or employment opportunities. Supported accommodation provides accommodation with support for 16- and 17-year-old Children Looked After and Young People Leaving Care, to enable them to live semi-independently. The provision of accommodation is regulated under the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023. The Service will be delivered in two Lots; Lot 1: 16+ Supported Accommodation - Children Looked After and Young People Leaving Care and, Lot 2: 16+ Supported Accommodation Service - Unaccompanied Asylum Seeker Children. It is anticipated that the 16+ Supported Accommodation Service contracts will commence on the 10th December 2025 for a period of five years with the option to extend for a further two periods of up to 24 months. Preliminary market engagement was carried out prior to the implementation of the Procurement Act 2023.
